Write for us
We welcome pitches that bring a fresh, well-defined angle to recreational running, its routes, rhythms, history or culture. Send proposals through the Contact page; a concise note is more useful than a finished article sent without context.
What we welcome
We are interested in evergreen explanations, thoughtful comparisons, historical context, close readings of running customs and practical planning that readers can use safely without specialist instruction. A strong idea can be modest: it just needs a clear question and something specific to illuminate.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the proposed subject, the central point, why it suits Select Running Journal and what makes your approach distinct from familiar coverage. Include a brief outline and any relevant sources or experience you would draw on. Do not promise results or present personal experience as universal evidence.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then identify your note as a contribution pitch. Please do not send confidential material. We cannot promise acceptance, publication or a particular response time.
